Contacts module settings

System settings help you to set up the system according to your needs.

Choose Setup - Contacts to create your own contact category or type.


Contact types

You can identify Customer type when creating a new customer:

  1. To add more selections to customer types, go to Setup - Contacts - Types - New record:
  1. Enter the name of the type and save changes.

  1. To edit or delete the new record, select the Actions commands.

Contact groups

You can select Contact group when creating a new customer:

  1. To add new values, go to Setup - Contacts - Groups - New record:
  1. Enter the name of the new group and save changes:
  1. To edit or delete the new record, select the Actions commands.

Contact levels

When creating a new contact, enter contact level:

  1. Contact level indicates when to create an automatic task when the client has not bought anything for X amount of days. To create new levels, go to Setup - Contacts - Levels - New record:
  1. Fill the information for new record, enter the number of days and save changes:

  1. To edit or delete the new record, select the Actions commands.

Activities

When creating new customer, there is an opportunity to select Activities


  1. To add more Activities to the list, select Setup - Modules picklists - Activities - New record.
  1. Fill the information for new value and save changes.

  1. You can set the default value for the activity. Then each time you create a new contact, the default activity will be automatically set for a new client.

  1. If the value is not in use, you can always turn off its activity.

  1. To edit or delete records, select the Actions commands.

Relation types

Contacts can be linked to other contacts through relations. You can create and edit the values of relations between legal entities by choosing Setup - Contacts - Juridical relation types.

You can also create and edit the values of relations between Physical persons by choosing Setup - Contacts - Physical relation types.

  1. Fill the information for the new record and save changes.

  1. You can set the default value.


  1. Or turn off the activity if record is not in use.


  1. To edit or delete records, select the Actions commands.
