New marking in sales documents if the balance of Items is insufficient
Release date:
From now on, in sales documents, the product quantity box will be marked in red if the quantity sold exceeds the amount of stock left in the warehouse.
- For the update to take effect, you should first enable the new stock settings viaSystem Settings - Settings - Stock - General Settings, after checking the optionLimit the amount of goods sold based on the warehouse balancein opportunities, proforma invoices or/and accounts.
- How does the setting work? For example, let's create an Opportunity that doesn't have the new setting applied. The quantity of product X in the warehouse is 12 units, in the offer we specify the quantity for sale of 13 units.
- We convert the opportunity to an account (new setting applied to accounts). The quantity box will be marked in red, because the quantity of goods planned to be sold is greater than the quantity of goods in stock.
- If the quantity of goods is not adjusted and you want to save the account, a warning message about insufficient quantity of goods will appear in the system:
- With the help of this setting, you will be able to avoid inaccuracies in sales documents and ensure that the amount sold does not exceed the amount of goods in stock.
