Sources, stages, and reasons for loss

A **source** indicates where a record originated. Assign a clear name to the source and mark the most frequently used value as the default. Hanna will suggest this default value for new records and integrations where no other source has been selected.

A stage defines a step in the sales process and corresponds to a Kanban column. You can configure the name, color, sequence, active status, and default status for a stage. The stage form also includes fields for automation and allowed duration.

Reasons for loss or disqualification are used when a record is marked as lost or disqualified. The reason and accompanying comment facilitate later analysis of why the sales process did not conclude successfully. You can link reasons to specific stages.

Before deactivating a classification item, check whether it is set as the default and whether it is used by email integration, filters, or reports. It is safer to mark a value as inactive than to delete it.
